Pokermambo is run by the operator Goalventures and Spanish sports media company Prime Time Sport with co-operation from Redbet.  It primarily serves the Spanish market.

Four events including the No Limit Hold’em Freezeout main event were played out in one of Europe’s most up and coming capital cities.

The main event had a field of 513 players.  It was won by Englishman Will Fry, who remarkably was competing in his first major live poker tournament.
Fry is a 28 year-old pro from Nottingham and follows in the footsteps of fellow Nottingham poker professional Julian Thew who won the EPT Baden Classic in last year’s EPT season.

Fry defeated another player making his major live poker tournament debut, Ciprian Hrisco of Romania, in the heads-up final.  Hrisco only began playing poker online some 18 months ago, so it was a great performance by the 21 year-old.

Hrisco took the runners-up cheque of 342,608 euros (£271,360).  Whereas, Fry’s reward was 595,839 euros (£471,953) and a seat at the EPT end of season Grand Final in Monte Carlo, next spring.

The EPT stays in Eastern Europe for the next leg of the tour, with the EPT Warsaw event.

As the name suggests there are three wheels in this roulette game, giving the player a triple chance of winning.

The World Heads Up has grown to become one of the most popular tournaments in Europe.  It runs from 20th October – 25th October at the Casino Barcelona.

Four bracelets will be awarded in four events – the £1,500 buy-in Hold’Em event, the H.O.R.S.E event, the Pot Limit Omaha event and the World Championship No Limit Hold’Em main event.

The series is a welcome addition to the main World Series of Poker with this year’s main event to be concluded in Las Vegas in November as the remaining 9 players slog out the final table.

Three of the WSOP finalists have announced their intention to play at the World Series of Poker Europe.
